Gender ratio update

robhaneisen Sep 21, 2009 01:03 PM

So my first clutch of seven Hondurans was all male and the male-heavy trend has continued. The count stands at 27 males and 15 females. Five more Hondurans left to hatch. No difference this year on incubation, just bad luck?

Only other oddity is that I did have three other Hondurans dead in the egg and two others hatched out with deformities.

Other years I've had close to the above gender ratio except in the favor of females. Such is life. At least they are all pretty!

LOL, I was male heavy too. Two clutches of Cosala sinaloans and every one a damn male! Sex ratios suck this year

Funny, on the Mountain King side of things myself and others I know are FEMALE only this year.

Vinny:

Getting all males on two clutches. I can't beat that bad luck! How many hatchlings total for that?
