i want to breed my panther. he is 1/4 nosey be and 3/4 blue bar ambanja. i want to maintain the blue. if YOU were going to be breeding my chameleon what female(locale)what you get? also how difficult do you think it will it be to find a 6 month old female from either of these two locales for $300?

Dennis-

If you want to maintain the blue, then get a Nosy Be female. Females are usually harder to find at a older age then males, good luck! You should be able to find a female Nosy Be for under $300, that said I don't know about finding one at 6 months of age. Good Luck!

I bet you could find a 6 month old Nosy Be female from Amazing Blue Reptiles. Go to www.amazingbluereptiles.com and send them an E-Mail (their website is really old and not updated). They are an extremely friendly breeder to work with and have some awesome animals. And it seems like whenever I need a 6 month old panther they have it. And I bet it's right around $300.

P.S. Remember, you need to resist the temptation to let your animals breed right away.... A female should be at least 9 months old before breeding. If you're trying to do this right away, you should be looking for a 9 month old panther (which would be virtually impossible to find).

Dennis,

If you are looking for a 6 month nosy female, you might try Kammerflage, as we don't have any that age currently.

If you are going to wait a bit, that could change, of course. We also have a good friend who breeds nosy and we have gotten females from him for our breeding stock (good sized females too). We can put you in touch with him - he is a great guy with great bloodlines. So keep in touch.

Take good care,

Dennis,

They are sisters to 2 we have. I can put you in contact with the fella that has them.

Hope that clears it up.

why don't you just get an unrelated male and female of the same locale? You could keep your current one for a display animal.

that way, you have more chameleons and the babies won't be of a mixed locale. Mixing panther locales is something that most of us want to avoid.

hope you don't take this the wrong way.....
