Nova (the dad) is (Orange HypoTrans x Dachiu Red Het Hypo) x (Yellow
HypoTrans x F2) Hypo Het Trans (Partial dark eyes), bred by Phantom Dragons

Leisha (the mom) is Dachiu Tang Hypo x Orange/Yellow Hypo, bred by Phantom Dragons

Very interesting. I would say hypo partial trans. Ive seen others like that. There was a female hypo het trans which had black eyes? I wonder how come the trans gene acts like this? Its recessive but et it pops up like this and then you have partial trans?

Nice looking dragon though

thanks, i plan on breeding him to a smoothie het. trans poss het hypo.

I would guess your dragon is a het trans. Occasionally, you will get a het that will be trans, have dark eyes, or both. These will produce the same ratios as a regular het trans. I notice that by using hypotrans and/or hypo het trans breeders, it increases the chances of producing these oddities. Very cool! Josh

so does it work like visual hets in ball pythons?i bought a sibling pair of these but the female doesnt have trans scales or black eyes.here is pic of the male and female together and a pic of the parents.

So far it seems like these oddities are something that randomly pops out. I have bred dark eyed het trans, and trans hets, and ended up with the same ratios as I would with just a regular het trans. Even line bred a few, and got nothing like the origional dragon.

I have had a couple of dark eye dragons that didn't prove out to be het trans. At first I thought they were visual hets until this happened. American and italian leatherbacks are a perfect example of a visual het(for silk). Josh

No problem! Hope the info helps...I'm not very good at writing and explaining things. Those crosses sound great. Would love to see what comes from them. Josh
