I've got a small developing colony of Mad. Hissing Cockroaches, and I've noticed from the first day I had some adults, there's some tiny little bugs running around on them. I don't know if it's some kinda mite or what, but how can I get rid of them and keep them from getting to my chameleons? I've only had roaches for about 2 months now and they seem to be getting worse. I'm using birdseed as a substrate, which is what the guy I got them from told me to use. What substrate should they be on? I want to make it as easy as possible to dig out the meduim sized ones for feeding (I'd prefer not to use something they can dig into). Thanks for helping!
