Dark eyed boa question???

Joel_Thomas Sep 23, 2009 03:09 PM

This question has been rolling around in my head for a while now, so I decided to get more opinions on what people think is going on with the dark eyes in boas and the correlation of pattern and color anomalies?

I have noticed this a while back on that special line of Pucallpa Peru boas produced by Rio bravo, I have also seen it in the Leopard, blood, the super marrons, and the super motley boas....are there others that have this dark eye thing going on?

I would love to hear any thoughts on this....even if sent in a P/M

Not the best pic but this is a dark eyed Peruvian

I'm not sure what it means... but to me it seems the chances of it meaning *something* are good.

The leopard morph of amazon tree boas also has those black metallic eyes.

Sorry I don't have anything else to add...

Make of that what you will!

P.s in normal lighting his eyes look solid black - it's not untill I have him out in some sun you can actually see otherwise.
