....incredible splendida.......

JKruse Sep 24, 2009 12:27 AM

....when I saw these I just had to have them. Rarely do I stray away from my favorite snake, but these just knocked my socks off. And from the size of the babies, I suspect they're gonna be monstahs in short time. Locality is Christmas Mountains, Tx.

The flash detracts from the intensity of the yellow, but honestly in all my years I've seen none brighter than this.

Jerry, you've found some jewels there! Nice additions to your already stocked treasure chest!

Very nice ones, Jerry. Looks like the babies I get from my locality River Roads (not surprising, since they are from only about 20 miles away).....those south Brewster Co. splendida aren't common, but they are exceptional examples of the species, IMO.

I'm digging the yellow sides on those.
Nice pickup!

Hey Pareng Jerry

Kamusta na?

I used to keep and breed splendida and those are awesome looking specimens. I've always liked the strong contrast of black and yellow on any animal that spots them. That's a very cool side project Mr. Mt. King. Take care.

Those are NICE Jerry...very high yellow sides.
I think West Texas Splendida are the nicest around.

Great score!

....yeah......I can manage to squeeze this pair in.......but really nothing more. It's a combo of space and time, especially all the finicky feeders I have to contend with every fall and then possibly again into the spring. This pair ate right outta my hands, just like the ol' JETZEN style for those that remember. LOL. Anyways, much thanks again!

You'll wish all your snakes had the splendida appetite from the get go! That's one of their endearing traits, no muss no fuss. And when you get some nice ones, the icing on the cake!
