Yes, he is

The day after I posted a while back about it, he shed, and it looked much better .And he was feeling much better. Since then, its continued to look better and no further problems.

Turns out it was indeed a burn. His head pad malfunctioned and the thermostat also wasnt working, or just didnt detect it for some reason.

So to everyone, check the heat pads with your hand every-so-often just to test Sometimes technology fails!
