new home for the winter

Krystal_R Sep 24, 2009 02:06 PM

So its starting to get quite cold out here, especially at night. During the warmer part of the yer about march thru september i keep my savs in a large 7x2 1/2x 2 enclusure out in my barn, well marking the beginning of Fall the temp has dropped. Of course next week it will probably warm up again for a lil and it does this throughout the winter here in Colorado...ups and downs.
Well the point is i brought Duncan and Delilah inside today and placed them into there new winter enclosure.
I am still working on it and actually just set it up today, so any suggestions are welcome. I will most likely be adding an additional flood lamp.

What you can not tell from the pics is there is about six inches of top soil in the entire bottom half of the cage, you can see Duncans tail in the one pic, as he explores the bottom half.

Cool cage. I would recommend you use up the rest of the cage. Work and build your way up and use as much of that back wall as possible.
