New Kid in the House

I seem to have this problem often in this town.. I bought a kingsnake from my local petshop, and he said it's a florida king. But Speck looks more like a eastern black king. Just wondering if I could get a solid identification on him? Thanks!

That is a young Florida Kingsnake. It is typical young adult of snakes from south central Florida (around Lake Okeechobee). Many captive populations of FL King originate from that area.

Heh... that's exactly what Eddie looked like when I bought him. He's only lightened a little bit in his "old age".
