Laura
Laura, It's a 24" fluorescent UVB 8.0 and the dome way up off the tank is a regular 100w, I want to do alway with them and get a 160w M/V, I have one over the big cage far left can't see it too good in pic. - Jim
was up early and turned the little guys lights on early, hhehee beacuse they were babies I feed them first. They were the last to go out at night also,
Glad hes doing fine, anymore color changes lately? He and Alona hitting it off? Eve
Hey Eve, the little guy's are always frist up and last to go to sleep, but they don't stay up late, lights go on 5:30 so we can feed them at 7:00. Todays the frist day we didn't put them together, (no time!) but they get along fine!! both eating great! I'm going to run out of crickets AGAIN!! It's always on the weekend LOL - Jim
BUGS ???? LMAO they are like a Treasure, feels so good when your all stocked up. Like you can relax everybody has something to eat, hhhehehehhehehe. Glad they like each other, kinda predictable, most boys like girls, and visa versa in all species, LOL Get ready for that storm dude coming your way, The Secret Stash will grow this weekend ! LMAO
Eve
Yea it's nuts! doesn't even last two weeks and it's not like I got lizards coming out of the woodwork, like some people I know LMAO, and I'm still trying to find a good place!, the frist place I liked the crickets, good count in a big box with eggcrate but they never e-mailed me back about the dead mealworms, so I'm looking, What do you think about silkworms for collareds ?? BD people love them. - Jim
i'm bd people.. and i say GO silkies GO
.. i use them not only for my bd's..but for my leos and many many water dragons.. they are spendy and if you live in a cold climate or don't have a mulberry tree it can be hard to find food unless you order from mullberryfarms. they have a really good calcium/phosphorous ratio.. and i think they are good fat (on less fat than protien) wise too...execpt someone in the leo forum refuted that claim the other week but didn't present facts of their own.. ok now i'm rambling and probably told you more than you wanted to know about silkies
alissa
Thanks I'll try them soon and mullberryfarms looks like the best place. - Jim
An old picture:
One of my new cages:
The ledges are made out of tile grouted styrofoam. Hope this helps. Sorry the pic's kinda crappy. = /

That is very similar to what my cage looks like, I thought I was original!
LOL What are the dimensions of yours? It looks very spacious!
Laura
4 ft long, 2 ft deep, & 1.5 ft tall. It's now got 2 lovely lizards residing in it as opposed to just poor, lonely Squig.
Laura
She spends a lot of time inside her cave. I'm not sure if she's trying to stay away from Squig or if she's trying to start brumation. But I put in another bulb & she's been coming out more. I saw her eat a cricket today. It was exciting. I'm such a dork. Kristin
Vegas went through the same thing when I first got him. I upped his bulb wattage and he started coming out more, a couple of days ago I switched back to the original bulb and he is still coming out a lot. I'm glad she is doing well now. Is Squig still trying to be a macho man with her? Silly boys, no matter what age they always think they have something to prove!
LOL LOL
