Do you have access to lizards or skinks? A couple of
these, and a nice winters nap (brumation) and you
should be good to go.

oyu want it to eat mice
feed it mouse pinks
lizards are not part of eastern milks diet in LOTS of it's range.
around my home you will find easterns if you get lucky or actually look
you will not find lizards....I saw one broadheaded skinks years ago and it was in a friends' home....he went like 4 days in a row till he caught this thing.....never saw any lizards near here.....other than that one....
anyways...you want to feed it...put in deli-cup with a cut apart pinky or even whole pinky...dead live , whatever you can get...start with that and see if it eats....
......you want it to eat what you can get....
(here I use live pink or pink parts, then I would go to Peromyscus pinks.....but I breed Peromyscus)....

Some will eat pinks and some will not. Out of nine hatchlings last year NONE of them took pinks. ALL of them took gekos or geko parts. After a few meals and some cooling (as patton stated) they all eventually took pinks.
Oh, and I live in Maryland where you will never find a wild geko. Skinks did not work and I tried. (five lined). Ground skinks probably would have worked but I did not have any. House gekos can be purchased for around 6 bucks at most pet stores around here so that is what I got and they worked.
Those Hemidactylus are magic, aren't they?! From what I've seen of your hatchlings, they're all lookers! Nice work, buddy.

Thanks Cole! The ones that Dave Niles has started off eating whole gekos and I think that is why they are sooooo big for their age.
Lee, you can try a baby garter snake. They are everywhere this time of year up here in the northeast. This neonate made quick work of a newborn garter that was just about the same size as him.

Assuming it works, here is a pic of my little guy.

Good luck...Hope you get the little one feeding soon! I used the defrost pink cut in half lengthwise on my Knoblochi...Worked a treat. They were just skinny non-feeding shoe laces when i first got them!
Very nice! I like the partial "zip zag" pattern on that little guy. Where is it from? PA?

That one came from the area of Pulaski, VA

Wow. Nice one Joe.
Thanks Joe, you've been posting some beauts yourself lately.
