Alphadragonz extreme red line is my choice. Blue red not dark orange.

I think there are some crazy reds being produced by a number of breeders, Alpha, Dachiu, Bloodbank, as well as smaller ones. The best ones are just randoms out of a clutch. I think you can get a pretty nice "TRUE" red, but it's going to cost you.

I agree with Jeff, several breeders are producing nice reds.

Yes, there are several breeders that are producing nice reds. My comment was that my choice of reds is the Extreme red from Alphadragonz. It is a blue red. If you look at the pictures you posted the top two pics are dark orange (red) I prefer the blue red of the bottom picture. So depending on what you like, and I like blue reds, Extreme is the way to go in my opinion.

While the deep reds are the most valuable and hardest to produce, the orange-reds are extremely valuable to produce the bright deep reds. Over the 15+ years we have been breeding BD's I have seen breeders concentrate on the deep reds and end up "browning out" there stock or producing deep reds without vibrancy. The oranges help to keep the colors bright, even the bright Citrus colors are very useful in producing bright reds. I like the deep reds but brightness of color along with high contrast of colors is what appeals to me.

The first two photos are just bad photos (it’s what I had in the gallery), the second photo is Salsa (with Hollywood) while Hollywood is in fact orange, Salsa is one of the best bright reds I have personally seen (she also has orange). The last photo is one of their babies.

A different photo of Salsa and Hollywood
