Pics of my female with her new orange spots...

Lyn May 25, 2003 11:17 AM

Hi everyone. I don't post much here, but I do come on to read and look at all your wonderful pics. My Collareds are 2 years old (I have had them since last June). They were wild caught and purchased from my local pet store (sorry!). I have been hoping they would breed so I can start supplying the pet store with CB babies in hopes they will stop buying the WC ones. They were hibernated through the winter. My one female, Daisy, has developed a lot of orange coloring. My male is hanging out with her a lot but I've seen no actual breeding activity. Daisy is getting very round. I am going to redo their enclosure today to include a covered nesting area with moist sand just in case. I'll be searching the archives for info but anything you think I should know I'd appreciate hearing. Here are some photos taken a couple days ago...

This is my male, Percy, I am having trouble getting good photos of him. His back is kind of a plain greenish color with yellow spots, his legs and tail are a beautiful blue color. I'm hoping the color will spread to his back some day. He looks better every time he sheds which keeps my hope going.
