Probibly a respritory infection. See a vet and get a little antibiotic. Usually bayril

Yes,It sounds like a classic case of Redneckosis. Sometimes accompanied with flying pieces of chewed up tobacco. All seriousness aside, Mine make some really strange sounds when I have them inside in the winter. I decovered not all the sounds are from the front end! The first advice was the best advice. I have just never herd it described like that for Sulcuta. Now if you wanta talk slime,I have a Bloodhound! Vic

Indeed, Vic,

Tortoise flatulence is a frequently misunderstood phenomenon that isn't discussed in any texts I've read, but I don't understand why some seem gassier than others at times. I especially notice this when they're indoors, but this could simply be that sharing the habitat with them (indoors vs. outdoors) allows observation of behaviors that would otherwise go unnoticed.

Yep,Thats when people notice,in the winter when they bring them in.I'll get a few calls from folks thinking they have gotten to cold outside and now feel bad that they might have a respratory problem. They allways call back relieved that I was right when I tell them "check closely on which end the sound is coming from." Just dont let them near the fireplace. KA BOOM! Vic.......pic I have noticed bubbles in the water!
