trav w/ my big male jani

ginter Sep 27, 2009 01:47 PM

I had some friends out a few weeks ago and they wanted to get some images of my really big male P.d.jani. This snake is about 14 years old and just about 7 feet long. Quite girthy as well. A real "rabbit eater" in the wild!

sorry about the image size. I have never figured out how to size images in a way that does not make them too small......

if I get my act together this afternoon I will post some images of wild pacific gophers I took last week near Sacramento CA... both normal pattern and striped pattern individuals!

And thanks to all for the tips on where to look.

I ended up seeing a sign for a small town west of Sacramento and it spurred my memory as a place that the great Jim Kane had talked about as being an area of known striped phase populations...... A couple of nights of road searching and bingo!

That is a off-the-scale! ...but you gotta learn how to size your pics . Don't know what image editor you got but if you set it for 72 pixels per inch (dpi) at 800 x 600 for a horizonantal or vise versa for a vertical (like that) it should work. I'd love to see a better pic of that monster.

Thakns John.
