As promised....

i ended up tossing about 10 of these little guys off the road as well as a couple of kings, and 8 or 9 Crotalus oreganus nominantes.......

actually they were found in the hills to the west of Davis near a town called Vacaville

I have not seen one of those beauties in the wild for many years. My Uncle, who is an old bachelor farmer in Iowa said that he does not see them very often any more. Not sure if that is a function of the hardcore intensive monotypic cropping systems in place since the 70's or a function of his age and lack of ability to get out like he used to.

Those are the Pits that I cut my teeth on..... It is hard to beat a big old crazed sayi!!!!!

Damn it Denby, Ginter shows some sweet looking Gophers, and I am not a huge gopher fan but those look really nice... and then YOU have to show me your pics of those beautiful Bulls you have up where you are in your back yard- I am so jealous...;(
