Free animal clinic available in Palm Beach County, Florida (Name omitted to avoid deletion from this Forum)

SOUTHERN FLORIDA CORUCIA RESEARCH CENTER (SFCRC)

Location: LEE/1.

In case our sponsors view this as advertising, I will omit the name of the facility but one can E-mail me privately for it.

The Free animal clinic runs by donations only to recover costs of medicines, etc. They are located in West Palm Beach, Florida.
The Gentleman who runs it I have known personally for 15 years and has treated many SFCRC Corucia. They primarily treat Reptiles and do wonderful work.

Sincerely,
Brian

Brian,

This forum is actually intended for discussion purposes about rescues and the problems, challenges, success stories, etc. associated with them...not advertising animals/promoting groups.

When it comes to actually getting the word out about rescues/shelters in various parts of the country then that is the purpose of the RescueNetwork.org that Jeff Barringer & PetHobbyist staff have created and recently launched.

What folks really need to do is go out and encourage everyone you know who run rescues/shelters/societies to register their groups with the RescueNetwork. That way people who really need to find help in their area can search the rescue/shelter locator database and actually find these people who are working in their state/region and have their contact info right there in front of them -- all in one consolidated place. The network is open for all rescues regardless of what kind of animals they deal with (cat, dog, small exotics, herps, birds, etc.) Let these groups know that rescues/shelters/groups who are registered with the network are also able to advertise their animals as they will have special adoption classified accounts that have been set aside for them when they have animals that are ready to be adopted or fostered out to new homes. Only people who are registered with the RescueNetwork can post ads on these special classified forums that are on that site and it is free of charge (unlike the regular classified forums on the other pethobbyist sites).

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

hey don't get me wrong, it's great to want to hold discussions here on things/projects/goals that groups are working on/towards but at the same time there can be a fine line to walk sometimes to keep it more towards the discussion purpose of the forum rather than the advertising end of things.

I Understand. Many times in this life, one can easily get in that 'grey' area very easily.

On another note, It would be nice if the advertising sponsors of each Forum could contribute a tax-deductable donation to a rescue relief fund germane to the forum in question Ie. the skunk Froum would have it's drawable fund, the Skink Forum their's and so on. A group recognized by the Kingsnake Borum 'High Command' would present a Grant for rescue funding. The allocation of the relief fund, would be authorized by Kingsnake. Is this a conceivable conceipt?

Sincerely,
Brian

Have you ever thought of creating a Scientific Journal Forum?

I think it would be a wonderful conceipt. It would be an excellent draw to the more intellectual members of Kingsnake users, It would be an excellent vehicle to spread scientific discoveries to the general population, and in turn, would Substantially give KINGSNAKE valuable notoriety.

CONCEIPT:

A paper would be summitted and would be reviewed by A KINGSNAKE review committee. If accepted, It would appear in the SCIENTIFIC JOURNAL FORUM. Individuals would then have the opportunity to discuss the paper amoung themselves or the writer(s). Funding for research could be constructed also with a grant similar to the proposal of the Relief fund conceipt.

I realize this idea is not rescue oriented but I knew no better way of sending it to you.

Sincerely,
Brian

At this time the best I can offer you is a simple redefining of the Academic/Educators Forum:

Academic/Scientific Journal Forum.

Feel free to play within the confines of that forum. Hopefully you will have good luck in drawing folks in.

Thank you very much. I didn't realize this particular form was already extant.

I had promised some of the Skink Forum gang that I would provide material (Or possibly the whole paper) on a scientific paper in the works to be published. Instead of the Skink Forum, I would post it on that venue.

Sincerely,
Brian
