Chocolate pin x chocolate clutch

AScottHager Sep 28, 2009 05:05 PM

Fresh out of the egg. The father was a bhb chocolate pinstripe. The mother was a Bell line chocolate. There were three good eggs. One pinstripe and these two. I know both are super chocolates, but I'm not sure if the pinstripe gene is in either one. Brian Barczyk said the one on the right might be a camo. Male on the left, female on the right. These guys look so cool in person. Gotta love the dark morphs.

Very cool and congrats! Please let us know how the breed out. I'm very interested to know if the two lines of chocolate can be proven compatible. I think it is very likely they are and these just about prove it but they could also turn out to be a combined effect combo like a pewter. The test will be if bred to a normal they can produce any normals or not (bet not but nice to see it proven).

In a Ball world filled mostly with varying degrees of yellow, it is nice to see a ROCKIN melanistic combo -- these 2 fit the bill!!! SWEET!!! Well done Scott.
