How many can I keep?

mbmcewen Sep 17, 2003 06:51 AM

I read that I cannot keep large group of azure's and most other darts in groups. What is the max I can keep together in say a 29 tall? Is the problem the females? How bout just keeping several males?....or maybe several males and only one female.

I have been researching this and have not found any concrete answer....they just say that they do not recommend groups. What do you folks think?

Thanks,

Matt

I think you can keep 2 males and 1 female in a tank that size. I hear that is what some people do. I keep what I think might be a pair in a 29gal and they are fine. You could keep a small group of froglets together until they got older and the females start fighting. If you look on Patricks site you can see he now has his list broken up into what can be kept in groups and what can not. Leucs are fine in groups.
