Memorial Day

timopar May 25, 2003 11:25 AM

I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude and appreciation to those servicemen and women who have layed down their lives in defense of our freedoms. Without the great sacrifice that these servicemembers have made, we may not be living a country where we have the freeedom to keep the animals we love so dearly. Their families have sacrificed their loved ones, unselfishly and lovingly, to ensure that we continue to be the land of liberty, with rights and freedoms that are the envy of the world. Tomorrow is the day set aside to remember those that have given the greatest sacrifice they can, and I would hope that all of us, while we are flipping the chicken and burgers on the grill, will keep a place in our hearts and at our tables for the memory of those that have done so, for without them our world may well be very different than it is. God bless the troops, their families and God Bless the USA.

Sometimes a great statement is made. This is one of them. I hope all of us in this forum can agree on this. We sometimes forget what this weekend is all about. All the previous death and injured ones over many years as a nation. Many people have died just to get here to take part of what we have. Some of us take it for granted. We have the freedom because of our military. May God bless all our service men and women past and present.

Just as long as the people who serve aren't gay, huh, Demo?

Remember when you told me gays don't belong in the military?
I do.

Hypocrite-One who plays a part; especially, one who, for the purpose of winning approbation of favor, puts on a fair outside seeming; one who feigns to be other and better than he is; a false pretender to virtue or piety; one who simulates virtue or piety.

To the thread originator,
I don't mean to detract from your post. I agree with what you feel and say about this holiday.
I just needed to enlighten a hypocrite.

I would like to respond the way I should. But I took out the trash out yesterday. If folks in here are bored contact him for more information about me. Mostly twisted lies c/o:
Jason Thompson, San Francisco California area. 650-738-5959 also http://www.mojosballs.com interesting site.
He has every thing on file on his computer and would love to keep this conflict going from RDR. But Mojo aka MauledSparky I have moved on. Post more goodies if ya like.
Folks - I still wake up in the middle of the night with perspirations dripping from my forehead; talk about bad dreams. He would twist any words that I said. Nothing more joyful to this guy but to get me banned @ King Snakes. He has nothing to lose. Sorry for my response. Just read what he has posted in this forum....nothing but jabs. And notice his apologies to the thread originator. Sweet but this is what he does. [this way it makes him look good - wink wink] Turns a great post into garbage. Watch his next one. My cyber Stalker.
BTW- What does being anti gay or not being anti gay have to do with supporting our military past and present? How could I be called a hypocrite?
