Things are off to a slow start...

jason Oct 01, 2009 06:15 AM

It's a little early, but I had some males refuse food yesterday, so I put some pairs together. Out of five pairs, I've only seen two lock up. I did see courting in two pairs, but my butter and my spider seem to have no interest in each other. Hopefully things will pick up as the season progresses.

Last year was my first for breeding. I had three males and three females up to age/size. I put them together when the remains of the hurracane low system came through in mid sept. They started then, and locked every time I put them together. This year I have five males and eight females up to age/size, I have put all males with females three times so far and nobody seems interested yet. I guess they'll be ready when their ready.
