canister filters

gyke May 25, 2003 11:29 AM

I am looking at getting a canister filter to keep my water dragons' pond clean but I have no idea what to get. Does anyone use canister filters and if so what kind do you use? So far I am leaning towards a fluval but have read that they don't last that long and break easily. Has anyone heard of filstar or eheim? Thanks.

I have a fluval filter and I think it is great. Eheim is supposed to be better, but they are more expensive.

I'm having GREAT luck with an undergravel filter and a powerhead. The WD loves sitting (sometimes sleeping overnight) right in front of the jet stream) I also recently added a power filter with carbon to deal with all the eco-earth that he was draggin in.
