are you sure that killer bee is a yellow belly?
Here is a pic I took last night of my female cinnabelly and my male black pastel yellow belly. I also included a pic of the cinnabelly as a hatchling prior to her first shed.
Take care,
Tom

I assume the one on the right is the male black pastel YB. He looks really cool. The female is nice too, but not as nice as the male. The female changed quite a bit from hatchling. How did the male start out? Did it take time for him to get the color?
Thanks Mike

Hope Jon Courtney doesn't mind me using his pic, but here's my adult male Genetic Granite YB, that I can't wait to put on duty in a couple months. I had to have him specifically for my unproven Granite female. I can't wait to see what they can do together. I'm also gonna put him with 2 of my other favorite females just to see if the YB gene can unlock anything fun in them, and the Genetic Granite part is just a huge bonus...I love the Granite look.

Here are the 3 girls I have for him this year. Granite, unproven Mojave?, and of course my celebrity (to me) Black Back.

I've bred her and produced a few babies like her. It seems to be an odd, rather unreliable trait. I had to breed her extreme black back Cinny son back to her to produce "normal" babies with a black back. It's not co-dom, and I wouldn't necessarily call it recessive yet either. She's laid 3 clutches so far in her life, so there's A LOT more I can do with her. The possibilities are endless though.
