Really UGLY photograph.

Wednesday afternoon I was checking on the snakes and Borba was just crawling out of her nest box leaving this behind.

30 slugs and two dead ones with birth defects. One of the dead ones was headless. This is the first time that I have seen this defect occur. In august I had found fetal heart tones from both of the deformed ones using my Doppler. A couple weeks ago I did not find any fetal heart tones but perhaps had not been thorough in my effort.
