I just wanted to share a few of my favorite recent photos of Baby. He's doing much better now, and is off the flagyl completely. We are so thankful that something finally worked for him

Nice looking rhino, I like the black and white. KB

your pics are awesome. great shots. i see why they are your favorite
That is way too cute!
Your are a brave lady. I would never put my face that close to a large cyclura. I've seen pics of a few accidents and it ain't pretty.
Patty[my girlfriend] treats ours like pet dogs or cats and I keep warning her what could happen. If you look below you'll see her hand just about in the mouth of a huge cornuta. Fred is very tame BUT if he makes even a little mistake he likely could take her finger or perhaps her hand off she is so petite and he's so large. Here's another pic of her with the lizard. I'll admit she has 80% of mine like this now BUT....The melanosterna, I have 4.3, climb all over her looking for treats BUT even they could do serious damage. I'm afraid one day for whatever reason Patty's going to get a serious bite. I've repeatedly explained to her how bad a bite can be BUT...

My Melanosterna's also climb all over me, but I have the experience, the Melanosterna's see my jewelry as food, so I have been bitten in my ears and hands.
And it was not a nice feeling, in two weeks it was already cured but it could get more serious. I know, but I like to be busy with them, like you girlfriend
Tom.
I have seen his nasty side only once, and that was at the vet when he had to be taken from his crate to be weighed and looked over. He was head-bobbing away as a warning before hand, but he had to come out. That was truly frightening the way he went after the vet!
He is very "tame" as long as he isn't being picked up, and even that he tolerates well for his weekly baths. He is good about giving warnings if he wants to be left alone, and I NEVER test him if he tail whips of head-bobs. I do value my fingers.
I have been accidentally bitten by my spiny tailed iguana (just caught the tip of my finger), and am aware that their teeth are like razor blades. I am also aware that Baby is many times bigger than the Spiny (Dwayne-a small female). Dwayne is a nasty little thing, and I have always said that if I were to be really bitten by one of them, it would be big Baby...only because I don't expect it from him.
That being said, I don't make a habit of putting my face near his, and am always aware of his body language when handling him. You do make a valid point though!
I can tell you this Cyclura don't like nor do they require a bath. These Lizards live in arid habitats and don't enjoy being in the water ever...

Interesting, and I've never heard that. Unfortunately, he is the one that has had diarrhea for years (and no he never drinks the water in the tub. That was not the problem), and will poop and then lay in it. Only recently have we been able to get it under control, and the baths help him not to poo and sit in it (he always goes in the tub), and have been necessary to keep him relatively clean.
As long as he has not been sitting in it, I may try just putting him in the dry tub to get him to go, and so that I can clean his cage. Thanks for the tip.
I think the dry tub would be MUCH better....

Oh I love laying in nothing but my underwear in my Similis cage. Some wounds will never heal. LOL

Here is my little similis, and small as she is, I would never DREAM of putting my face anywhere near her. We tried for over a year to get her used to handling, but it's just too dangerous and too stressful for her.

YOUR LIZARD IS BEAUTIFUL....

Yes he is
Thank you! We got him as a hatchling almost 5 years ago from the St. Pierres. I don't think they are breeding them any longer. It's amazing to me to look back at how tiny he was when we got him, and how he's grown.

Awesome picture, great looking Cyclura and beautiful girl! Glad he/she is feeling better!
