2009 Siblings...

Damon Salceies Oct 02, 2009 11:47 PM

You just have to love the variation in locality alterna...
All of the following pairs of animals are siblings from different clutches and all of the clutches (except the first one pictured) were the result of a pairing between exact locality-matched WC snakes. The first clutch (clutch3) was the result of a pairing between a captive female (that was produced by a pair of wild snakes) and an unrelated wild male.

Exquisite photography. Beautiful animals. Given this post and the thread below it (yes even my fish bait post-lol), is it any wonder why we are all goo-goo ga-ga over alterna...

Beautiful snakes. I wish I could take photos like that. Are they all from the Sanderson area? Some of them look exactly like my many of my Black Gaps. Keep up the good work.

That's the cool thing about the Sanderson area. Seems like you are at a point where western populations/pattern types meet east.

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah, yes. I haven`t forgotten about the Hueco mix up either. Joe will one day be at my funeral ready to engrave it on my tombstone. I would, however, like to know where Damon`s animals are from. I really like them.

that's not what you are most famous for Dave. That Hueco / Gap thing will always be a distant second, unless of course you aren't finished yet.

I should have known better than to post a question on this forum. What was I thinking? I really do like Damon`s snakes though.

Asking a question is one thing, what you did was something entirely different. Next time try

"WHERE ARE THEY FROM" without all that other garbage. Damon is not in it for $$ like you Dave, He cares about the animals.

The way I read Damon's posts, they are all sanderson's. He was showing the great diversity even within the same clutch. Seems like Sanderson would be the great dividing line between east and west populations but thats just my opinion. By the way Dave, A&m and Tenn both suck this year. BA

ddoherty Oct 04, 2009 03:35 PM

Okay. Why don`t we put the brakes on this silly thread. I`ll rewrite my OP.

Damon, those are some beautiful pictures of some beautiful snakes. Thanks for sharing. BTW, where are they from?
Hope this is better. Yes Brad, our teams are still rebuilding. I think the Aggies had the swine flu last night!
