zues Oct 03, 2009 11:19 PM

Anyone know wear to get these tubs or something that will fit a rack designed for the 1756? Thanks

The tubs we have that work are Sterilite latch tubs. We found them at Target. They have a purple handle that latches over an opaque white top. I cannot remember the number for them, sorry.

I was having the same issue. I emailed Scott at Vision Herpetological he told me the 1756 have been discontinued, but the 1755 with the hinge locks will work just fine. He stated that you just have to take the hinges off.

Hope this will help you out.

I don't use vision but if the 1755 fits, then it has the same dimensions as my animal plastics 1754 rack. I had the same concern finding tubs. The cool thing is that I can fit 2 1753 tubs side by side on a shelf or 1 1755. And Target carries them as stated above. You just need to remove the handles.

I hope that helps!

Best regards,
Alan Cole

Thanks guys I'll check Target. The animal plastics 1754 rack is what I needed them for.

The 1755's work great for small ball pythons but....if you're like me and have corn snakes or other small snakes in addition to ball pythons...when you remove the purple hinge locks two small holes are exposed. Corn snake hatchlings or baby rosy boas can fit through these holes. I am still looking for a mexican rosy boa.

Hey Bill if you are looking for a mexican rosy boa I know a couple of guys that sell them.....lol. Ok, Im bad but I couldnt resist. Good luck on finding him. My g/f just found one of my 2 week old het Albino babies in the pantry that got out of a tub I failed to lock the top on and escaped from my snake room a few days back.. Good thing she was cleaning it out. I am sure being a single guy I would not have been sweeping out the pantry floor and I would have found him when I started to investigate the stink..lol.
