Well after almost 75 days, these buggers finally hatched out...all 15 of them!

Enjoy.

NICE, Dave! Look how dark they are already! Congrats on another great clutch. Now go pick me out a nice female please -- I want the one in the middle of that third picture.

Dave:

Finally! They look great. Does it seem like the white bands are particularly bright? Might just be the flash from the camera.

Congrats!

Hey Rob,

yeah the white bands are really clean this year. Usually mine hatch out dark and the red bands are maroon but the whites are clean this year. This is the latest I've ever seen these hatch.

Wow, 15 in one clutch. What does the mother look like, or more correctly, how big was the mother before she laid those 15 eggs? Can you post her pic?

Awesome Dave!

Hey Ray,

put it this way, we call her the moose at my house. She's close to 6ft and very solid. Don't know her weight. She's laid clutches of 14, 19, 11 and 15 over the past 4 years.

Very nice Dave. I was beginnning to think they had forgotten to hatch! Makes me wish I hadn't changed my mind. But I am enjoying my new alterna, and looking forward to two more later this month.

Maybe next year.
