Does anyone keep or breed these snakes? I've always liked them, and just want more info on them. So if anyone has any info such as where I could get one, their care, and any other important facts.
thanks

My friend is keeping one I gave to him that I received from another a friend. It took f/t pinks off the bat (granted it was a larger one). It is kept in a rubbermaid with a humid hide on aspen bedding. Temps are about 80ish. It is doing pretty well. Andy

Scarlet snakes are very difficult to keep in captivity as the won't eat much other than reptile eggs. I have never heard of anyone ever being able to get them to eat pinkies, or even lizards.
There was an article published in Herp Review (Brisbin et al) that described keeping Cemophora alive by removing all water sources and offering only egg yolk to drink in place of water.
