What 2 do with big, old, anorexic girls?

Reading another thread got me thinking about a HUGE female I have. She's easily 5 feet and weighs around 3,000 grams, but to look at her she's definitely on the slender side. She eats when she wants, which isn't very often. And unfortunately when she does, it's only medium rats. She won't touch XLs that are actually the size she should be eating. I attribute this to her just being a completely full-grown adult that doesn't necessarily "need" to eat very often. Makes it a pain to breed her though. I've had her for 2 years, didn't get anything out of her last year, and it looks like she's gonna be in the same condition this year...thanks a lot for any suggestions, ideas, or related anecdotes.

These pics were taken last year, but she's still about the same body weight now. Can it be seen why I'm anxious to get some offspring out of her?

Relevent pic. She's actually skinnier than this now.

I have a 3000 girl that is fine on smalls and mediums. Sometimes my girls will eat 2 smalls in a single feedingand I usually offer them food every 5 days. They gain weight AND they don't get too full and go off food....

Good luck!!

I have great success with adults when I feed about 9:00PM. Nearly all of them are looking (I have Freedom Breeder racks with windows, so they see the activity) and anticipating. When I get to each....they are READY to grab the rat. I feed small rats and give them up to two rats per feeding.

I have a similar looking 2000 gram snake, and the only reason she reached that size was small meals on regular intervals. Now she'll eat every 3 days if I let her.
Last season, she was 1300 grams after dropping eggs. She gained 700 grams over the summer.
