Naja pallida.

cobrafan Oct 06, 2009 06:58 AM

One of the few Naja I haven't kept before and would like to. Can anybody here tell me if they stay pretty much the same color they are as babies, or do the more orange appearing babies change color or deepen to a more red color as they age?

You need to see the parent stock, they come in many shades from a dark yellow to a nearly blood red

the gold/yellow ones you are thinking of are no long naja pallida, they are naja nubiae.

Yes Christopher I knew that yet these have been bred with true reds as well.Personaly I like the yellow ones alot very nice .In fact I like them all it is cool that we are blessed with so many flavors to choose from better than baskinrobbins.

Hey Cobrafan, I got a 04 Red Spitter from Diamond Reptile Breeders that was a deep red with a steel blue/black throat band when he was a neonate. To this day, he has only darkened to a blood red color and looks awesome at about 4 1/2 feet. Feisty little buggers too. They have a great bloodline.
