Feeding hatchling Naje Haje

LordChristensen Sep 17, 2003 11:33 AM

I have a hatchling Naje haje who is in the process of it first shed. How long afterwards should i expect that it will eat its first meal. I have pinky mice for it whenever he is ready. I suspect it should happen within a day or two hopefully. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

(And yes I do have experience with other elapids including cobras so I am not a beginner with his pants around his ankles. LOL. )

Having not had any experience with hatchlings before their first shed, I would presume to do the same as with any hatchling & wait about a week or so after the shed then offer the first meal, this has worked for me in the past on several apecies, admittedly none of them venomous!

Hope this helps.

Mike
