what should I do????

Slacker6848 Oct 06, 2009 12:43 PM

I have a pair that I'm wanting to breed this year, female is a mid 06 and over 13lbs on an empty stomache after a huge dup and over 6' and the male is a mid 06 that's 5 1/2' and about 7lbs. well my question is

I'm moving in mid november should I wait to put them together, which I really dont want to, or should I put them together now? I'm only moving 5 miles away so it's not a huge move. the male is a very agressive breeder.

Thanks for any input

Put them together now if you want. Just make sure you don't feed them, at least, 3 weeks prior to moving.

Once snakes are in breeding mode, not much will stop them. For moving day, just put them in "seperate tubs". Move their cages as quickly as you can. If it takes a few hours to get them moved and set up, that will be fine. Then put them back in the cage, once it's warmed up.

The reason you want them in seperate tubs is, they might continue to breed and "make a connection" if they're in the same tub. Keeping them seperate will prevent this.

Good Luck on the move.

Why do you have a 13lb. 3 year old. Slow down!!!

She’s 3 1/2 years old. I'm not power feeding her like you think, or if that’s not what you meant my apologies. She just has grown faster then most of my others. She eats an XL rat about once every 10-14 days.
