Cinnamon variation

kennyj620 Oct 07, 2009 03:44 PM

I have 2 Cinnamon females, one looks like sterotypical cinnamon with the dark brown color and black patterns and side fading. My other cinnamon on the otherhand has the black pattern of a cinnamon, actually more than I've seen on most other cinnamons, but it doesn't have the dark brown color, its more of a yellowish color. Is the color an actual genetic trait of a cinnamon or has it just been selectivly bred for that color? To me the only trait that seems to be constant is the black pattern.

Any input?

Do you have any good pictures of the two snakes you could post?

Very pretty, and very interesting. I am no expert, but the bottom one *almost* looks like a Black Pastel. It has the squiggles over one of the alien faces in that picture. And the higher contrast...hmmm.

Do you have any pictures of the parents. I produced three clutches of cinnamon pastels this season and would have to say that the bottom picture is not a cinnamon. Looks like a nice normal. There is nothing wrong with that though. This is my cinnamon male.
