Just thinking ahead....questions>>>>

I have eggs incubating right now and was planning on keeping the hatchlings in separate shoeboxes with the whole deal: paper towels, small humid hide, food/minerALL dish, and a water dish. I was thinking of attaching a large reptile heat mat (on a rheostat of course) to a piece of inch thick slate and then putting the shoeboxes on that. I probably will end up trading or selling the babies and so I only need a temporary setup and I want to keep my two ten gallon tanks available for *hopefully* some new leo additions in september (albinos). I am very picky about who is competent to get the possible babies so I may end up keeping them for a while. In that case, will two large sweater boxes (on the heated slate pieces) work??? Tanks are getting expensive but I don't need a rack yet!!!

You can get a 10 gallon tank at petland for 10 bucks... If you think tanks are expensive, I don't think you looked at the chain stores. I completely support buying tanks from those petstores, because they make NO money from them.
