Vivarium question

Baconbits Sep 17, 2003 01:23 PM

I wanted to build my own display stand... but i wanted to make part of it out of wood, but wood in rain forest envorniment isn't really the best thing... I was wondering if there was a product I could use to water proof it while still being safe for dart frogs??
Well thanks alot

p.s. Any ideas would be appericated!

I am currently working on a wood vivarium myself. You should seal the seams with a thick epoxy enamel followed by a complete coating or 2 of epoxy enamel. Next obtain some PVC foil (the black sheeting used to line outdoor ponds) and staple that in place near the top and silicone it to the inside of the vivarium. If done correctly, this will give you an extremely water tight vivarium.
