feeding in shed?

is it bad for the snake to eat while hes in shed he always eats whenever i tryt to feed him? thanks in advance

I've never had a problem with it. Most won't feed in the blue but those that will, I feed. My experience to date is more boids less colubrids though (changing that slowly).

i have had young'uns eat prior to shed and the old shed cannot pass the mouse bulge without assistance,esspecially a roll of shed is halted by the diameter increase,but never a serious problem , feed'em if they want to eat

I have been feeding snakes in shed forever. Most will take food as long as you don't scare them. many will also prefer smaller prey sizes when opaque.

The only problem I ever saw is with a hatchling that ate a huge pinky and the skin got stuck where the bump was. A quick snip with a scissor and he was able to finish shedding normally.
