Well I must say that I had a great time. The wife and I hit the show for a couple hours in the morning and then made it to the aquarium in the afternoon. Something for everyone!

As for the show, I think anyone that went in search boas/pythons, cornsnakes or hondurans was able to find exactly what they wanted. I didn't see much at all in the way of mexicana...

I did see a few hatchling mex mex, nothing too wild, just the normal-looking ones. There was couple of unimpressive old adult greeri scattered about--no subadults or babies (which I really wanted to find!). I didn't see any ruthveni at all, except for a couple of--to borrow a phrase--turd crosses. Grey bands didn't even make much of a showing (although I must admit I wasn't really looking for them).

There were a only few tables that had thayeri. A lot of those tables also had a ton of hybrids which, of course, made me leery of the authenticity of their "true" thayeri stock. Also, saw a few of those elusive "albino thayeri" that everyone has been clamoring for. (ugh!) LOL

In the entire show I only saw one snake I thought was worth buying, which upset me a bit since I was hoping to leave with lots of new stuff; I digress.

Without further ado, here she is...

This is my first (of what will eventually become many) mex mex.

Thanks Todd. I think busy is an excellent description.

Lots of subtle nuances on this one.

Hi John,

Sorry for the delayed reply. Not sure of the line but like you said they all trace back to the same place.

I got it from the folks at reptile depot out of CA. They had a lot of nice healthy stock... Not much else I was interested in though. They did have some awesome black milks that I considered for a half a sec. I came to my senses when I remembered that I don't want to have to feed a 6 ' monster. LOL

I went back and looked at your project thread. The hypo-e is so nice. I spoke to Shannon and he's got a female left that I'm seriously considering. ...I think you were right the first time you said addiction.

Nice snake. I agree, not much in the way of mexicana. Picked up a female mex mex from Brian Barczyk. Great snake, chowed down a pinky already last night.

Hi Jeff,

I don't think I remember seeing any on the BHB table. Do you have any pics you could share? I'd love to see what I missed.

Oh and mine ate right away too. She's a bit bigger though; took a small hopper.

Hi,
Brian had several in a plastic box enclosure. On sunday he had about 5 females left, which makes sense, since people would be looking for the "brightest ones", and would buy up all the males first.
Will be starting to play with the camera this week. wish me luck.

That one looks like one that Mark Kenderdine was describing to me at the show.....
Did BHB have some totally speckled offspring at the show? and 'hets'?
