The other topic got a bit far down the page, so thought i would post the picture here so that you would see it. I found this picture on my computer, and am pretty sure i actually got it off the rainbow forum ages and ages ago. I cant remember who posted it, but if i remember rightly they said it was a Epicrates x Eunectes cross. The picture might help jog someones memory as to what it actually was.

as to what jeff wrote about, i have actually been thinking the same for a while. I think each of the rainbows is unique in their own way, and that crosses any together, is just a stupid idea. People dont know what there buying, and we could go down the road of the carpets pythons. On the other hand, we could also go the road of the boa constrictor that by crossing so many of the sub species together, they have certainly made some completely amazing stuff, even with some people in the hobby staying purists at the same time.

who can actually say what is pure or what isnt within any certainty. And even then, what classes purity of the sub-species if they do actually breed together in the wild?
Just between the crbs and brbs, think of the amount of possibilites??

im not quite sure where i stand on the subject, and the more i think about it the more it confuses me

About 30 years ago I purchased about 3-4 Colombian Rainbow Boa x Yellow Anacondas from Bob Baysinger in Ohio. I'm not sure who produced it but I think it was an accidental breeding....They looked very similar to that pic....

Have you ever seen or heard of either a Rainbow or Anaconda bred to a BCC or BCI?

Thanks
