A few more on the ground.....

rainbowsrus Oct 11, 2009 12:30 AM

Lucy finally stopped messing with me. Dropped her litter in her water bowl today at POS plus 117 days. A small litter of 9 babies and 7 slugs. Whenb I pulled the water bowl out of the cage, I saw her push out the last one. Pulled her out and put her in an extra tub and turned my attention to the babies. Scooped each one out one at a time taking care to get them with the sack and gel intact. Put them in a tub and am allowing them to chill until they each want to come out on their own.

more mouths to feed hey dave!!!
Do you lower you water levels in the bowls for gravid females.
Ie to prevent any accidental drownings etc etc if she has them in the bowl?
One plus, is i bet its all a lot easier to clean up!!

Cheers

Just a few, been a kinda wierd season, lots of little litters.
I do keep the water level lower. I also put a clay saucer in to give the little ones some traction....

As you can see on the left side one baby had made it's way to the rim with the umbilical still attached to the sack down in the water. Still with that "touch me and you die" attitude!!!

congrats. I like that little one on the side of the bowl lol he must think he is a tree boa

Yeah, did you see his "come any closer and I'll rip your face off" attitude? All that and still has his umbilical stretched down to the egg sack in the water.
