"Effective January 4, 2010, FedEx Express package and freight rates will increase an average of 5.9% for U.S. and U.S. export services. The rate increase will be partially offset by adjusting the fuel price at which the fuel surcharge begins, reducing the fuel surcharge by 2 percentage points."

Oh, the joy. Like it wasn't expensive enough already!!

I have read that ups wont let you ship snakes. Is that true? That is why I have shied away from shipyourreptiles.

check with shipyourreptiles.com and your local wildlife resource agency to find out what you may or may not be able to ship but through shipyourreptiles, UPS does allow the shipping of reptiles including snakes.
They have a contract which they have worked out with UPS that allows their clients (me and you) to ship non-venomous and non-protected reptiles as long as you are not violating your state's laws.
The terms and conditions are obviously a bit more detailed then what I have written but you get the idea.

Hey Jimmy - I through a couple basic measurements in the quote calculator, did not notice any difference in price from my price through FedEx. Anyone out there that used fedex, can tell me that they actually saved with shipyourreptiles?

I became a Fedex certified shipper long before ShipYourReptiles even existed. I had stuck with Fedex because so far there have been no issues. But I also have lost a few sales because of the shipping costs the last couple of years.

If rates are increasing, I may have to look into ShipYourReptiles.
