Time to see what everyone is keeping. Locales, high patterned, glossy black, brown and morphs. Be cool to see the difference's between some of the stock being kept.
Can't help it, I like pics.

Brother and sister 2009 Ginter stock. Directly from the man himself! Just what the doctor ordered. I like 'em with some pattern.....if I wanted a solid black snake I'd keep a black racer

Whoa..... Hope that apple does not fall far from this tree !!!!!
...one of the coolest captive herps pics ever! IMHO

These are some horrible pics. I have 2.4 Black Pines. Eric Richter stock. They are 16 months old now. Damn near solid black. Mobile County, Alabama. I will get some better pics.

2.4 Black Pines
.1 Albino Northen Pine
1.1 Northern Pines
1.2 Red Bulls
1. Hypo Bull
1.1 D. Deppei

Nice, I am considering acquiring a few from the Lemke line that originated out of Mobile, AL.
The individuals I typically see from that area available from some breeders are large snakes, dark black glossy first third, black second third, black/dark brown with reddish side patterning last third.
I like the look of them. Actually, I notice one being held that fits this description very well. I've learned though you never know what they will become as adults. Some darken considerably as others maintain the patterning I mentioned above. I do like the reddish patterning over the white though.
Nice snakes, thanks for posting.
A couple of shots of my adult male:

Some nose rub issues in the two below. I finally figured it out as him rubbing the glass slider edge. You can see above it's been fixed.

From last Christmas

Very nice, any history on this guy ? Impressive.
Thanks. A buddy brought him up here to Canada via Amazon Reptile Center about a year maybe a year and a half ago. I believe it was an '06 (or an early big '07 but doubtful). Maybe Scott remembers the original source?
Never even seen one in person but the Black Pines always look especially heavy bodied relative to other pits???
Thanks. My experience with keeping these guys is limited to the one individual, but between this one and the pics & ones that friends keep it seems to be the norm.
You've seen it before, but you asked...

Russ, you need to have your water checked or something. First you post the pic of that massive Northern in the previous post and now this Black Pine. The girth is incredible. What's the secret? Water from your fishing hotspot, injecting steroids into your rodent supply? What is the history on these?
Ya know, I was looking at that pic and was scrolling down when my wife started talking to me. Only the bottom half of your photo appeared on our computer screen. As we were talking my wife looked toward the screen. She was further away from it than I was. Other side of the den actually. She thought it was a porn pic
...ya can't help but draw some inference out of that pic. Could certainly make a guy feel, well...
Might be a good pic for an "Extenz" commercial.
Rich...what are you smoking these days?? lol..I did come home from work one day and had this large cooler I was pulling out of my car...when my wife asked..'what do you have in the cooler?"...I explained "that me and friend at work had an argument and that if he was right I would give him my brain and if I was right...well I wanted"...and I proceeded to open the cooler and inside was a huge black amphiuma about 15 inches long and three inches thick!! It took about fifteen minutes before I could get that poor women to recover!! :>

Hmmm, I'm speechless. I need to type something here. Ahh, was it solid black or did it have some pattern to it? Locale? Where did it end up? Wait, forget that question. No more questions LOL....
Yes...SOLID BLACK...and it ended in the ditch out front...but it was impressive!!! LOL You have a great since of humor Rich. I loved your description of taking pictures of snakes...when they wouldn't stop wiggling resulting in blur pictures so you restrained them and they latch on to you which resulted in you wiggling thus resulting in blur pictures. I guess one has to be there to apprciate the wisdom in those things.
