Your baby rack that is :-P Looking for some examples of how people keep their babies after they hatch. I got eggs that will hatch here soon and want to make something permanent for them. I got some tubs all set up right now and ready for them, just want to get something better for them is all. Thanks in advance for all the replies.

Trick question..... LOL

When I had them set up in the other room, two tubs shared a basking light and it was a 65 watt flood.

Now they are in a MUCH cooler room and two tubs share a 100 watt basking light (leftover zoo med lights .. had to make adjustments real quick lol)

I do find that by them sharing a light between two tubs that the average "room temp" doesn't get so high and yet they have an entire corner that is basking temp and a great temp gradient to the far corner.

One of my baby racks using large cat litter pans with screened lids. The lids are more for keeping things out than in. when I started I would feed crix to the babies and anoles and geckos would jump in to steal them.

here is the old rack I used (still using for another week or so). It was very functional, unpretty, and held 6-9 cages. Lights were all wired to one timer. So wife had decided that she hates it. We are building a new bigger one. This one will hold 16 tubs about the size of 40 breeders. The new rack will have 1 dimmer per level (to allow adjustment of the heat to each level independently), 2 timers (for four levels) so I can brumate 8 and keep 8 bins up (I love this idea), The reack will be all wood and will have a nice finish to it, each cage will have its own halogen bulb and its own compact fluoro on the opposite side, also each level will slide in and out of the rack. I have to complete the wiring and then put the shelving units in. Will post pics in about a week or so.

They wanted pictures of BABY racks lol

But....... on another note....

I like the idea of the rack your building... having 8 awake and 8 sleeping, etc. GREAT idea!
