Whats "YOUR" favorite "Boa" and WHY!!!

cbmorphs Oct 13, 2009 08:07 AM

I can't narrow it down to just ONE FAVORITE, to me they are all great! Ranging from Argentine Boas, Guyana Redtails to Hog Island Boas, there are so many to choose from!

There's also so many Boa Morphs to choose from now days, it makes it hard to say whats best, in fact you can't label what's best! It's a matter of what you like or desire to keep as an awesome pet or as an awesome breeding project!

I've always had a weakness for Guyana Redtails, with their rich purples & reds to their huge lengthy muscular bodies!

But then Argentines are really cool too! They're known for their loud hissing roars, which can be intimidating to some! Some Argentines, are very dark in color but still very beautiful!
I've seen some really beautifully colored Argentines, ranging from the T positives or the dark greys and blacks to the really colorful mauve and reddish colors. I think the Argentine Boas have a lot to offer, that really goes unnoticed!

As far as Boa Morphs, WOW, there's so many cool ones to choose from now days. I think its just a matter of what your taste are and what pleases your eye! It could be the most expensive Morph down to the least expensive. With all the Recessive and Dominant Morphs out there, it's really hard to pick. No matter what anyone else thinks, it has to be the Boa or Morph you like! After all, your keeping and caring for it!

The easy solution to choosing a Boa or Morph would be, have a pair of each!!! But then there goes all your time and money!

Thanks for looking,

Chaz Neely

This is one of my favorites because of her colors, what she's capable of producing! The main reason she's my favorite is, I produced her myself and can't actually believe it!
I have many others I like or favor, but she's the favorite in my collection....so far! She has the potential to make some really amazing new Boa Morphs! She's 100% het Blood and 100% het Albino, for making Bloody Sunglow Arabesques, Bloody Albino Arabesques and Super Salmon Bloody Arabesques, WOW!!! I can't wait!
I can't wait to prove her out!

Then this one, he's just awesome in person! I can't believe how colorful he is in person! Plus, his genetic punch is sure to be a knock out! Sunglow Arabesque 100% het Anery, for Moonglow and Snow Arabesques!

Then this girl, she's a genetic power house too! A Sunglow Jungle 100% het Anery, for making Moonglow Jungles!

Last but not least, this girl is also a genetic power house! Arabesque 100% het Albino and 100% het Squaretail, to make Albino Squaretail Arabesques! Should be an explosion of color!

Well, I've shown you mine! Now show us yours and don't be shy about it!!!

LET'S SEE YOUR FAVORITES!!!

Thanks for looking, have a great day!

I think it's a close one between these two!!

Longicauda and Bolivian Amarali... they are both the kind of snakes that makes me want to sell everything to have just those two!!
For the Bolivians, their curious personalities and AMAZING contrasting and depth of colors is what gets me. For Longicauda, it's their ontogetic changes through life, how they can start out so dull (or not!)

and blossom into this incredible hypermelanistic animal!!

Yep, that's what does it for me!

Nice Boas! Must not be many people with favorites out there?

Guess it was a dumb post?

Nice favorites you have there though!

I have to say I have numerous favorites but I think my absolute favorite "BASE" morph is a Leopard....I plan on putting Leopard into everything the darkness of that animal makes the multiple gene animals look amazing just look at the Hypo Leopards my buddy Paul Rothenbach produced

And the Albino Leopards top produced are just littered with Color.

I cant wait to see the Paradigm Leopards in a few years

Here is a pic of my Leopard I cannot wait to see the look of babies she produced this upcoming season...

Next another one of my favorites is Longicaudas simply because they do go through such a dramatic change as they grow and these Longicaudas from Mich Denton I think are some of the best examples of an Anery Longicauda Just my opinion....

Motleys arent too bad either

Just as you mentioned though, we could go on and on about our favorites...but I think Leopards and the potential they have makes them my NUMBER 1 FAVORITE

Nice Boas Brandon!

To bad there was only 3 of us, with favorites!

I kind of figured there would be a lot more favorite photos to look at!

Geez, what's a person have to do, to see awesome looking Boas?......go to a Reptile Expo?

I agree with you Brandon, those Leopards of Pauls are awesome. I seen them at the show and couldn't believe the color they've gained in just a few short months! They are really colorful, I can't imagine what a Sunglow Leopards going to look like! Or even Bill Kirbys Motley Leopards, when he produces them! Those are going to be really cool, I'm sure!

Thanks for sharing, looks like you have some nice Boas!

Jeffrodgers Oct 14, 2009 10:53 AM

I really like the lipstick sunglow and anything crossed with them like motleys, jungles, Arabs.

mack1time Oct 13, 2009 08:57 PM

Some lovely boas thus far and Yes it is weird that only 3 or 4 people have favorites...
This is my favorite boa in my collection right now
Morpheus a 9 month old Motley 50% poss het anery.
I think I lkie him the most because not only did I produce him and he has been with me since day 1. But to me he is unlike any motley out there with his thin banding and great color.

I agree, that's one nice looking Motley. It looks like he has a reddish spot on the back of his neck. Kind of like a Hogg Island Boa would have, pretty cool!

Thanks for taking the time to share. I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed it was kind of wierd not many people had favorites.

Easy! Boa constrictor amarali (Brazilian and Bolivian) and the true red tailed boas (B.C.Constrictor) win hands down with me.

Pithons Oct 14, 2009 11:45 AM

My favoite is the Sunglow Motley. I always loved the Motley look. And the Sunglow Mots seem to have the best color.. This one is in my collection and still my favorite.

Pithons Oct 14, 2009 12:11 PM

Besides the Motleys, I like the Jungles and the arebesque.. Of course Im an albino guy so the albino form is better. And we cant forget the most underrated morph out there, the Anery Gene.
I cant wait to see the Snow Motleys and Snow jungles.. Or how about the Snow Motley Jungle.. Hmm, if only I knew where or how to find(or make) one........ ?

BNixon Oct 14, 2009 01:06 PM

I think that the Anery gene is awesome and the Anery Jungles I believe Frank Martin had up in the classifieds were just killer looking.

I am planning on putting my Albino Jungle in with my Ghost this year, She is a clean ghost so the babies should be awesome!
-----
Brandon Nixon

Pithons Oct 14, 2009 01:23 PM

That will def be a good pairing Brandon... Now if your albino jungle is het anery, then it will be a GREAT pairing.. Goodluck!

BNixon Oct 14, 2009 01:29 PM

Sadly it is a lowley Albino Jungle not het for anything lol...If only he was...

Tell you what does the Ghost het Albino x Motley het Anery poss het Albino pairing make up for the Albino Jungles short comings?

A few of mine Sharp sunglow Paradigm PearlescentHypo Mot/SharpArab Dbl Het Sq Tail/albino

Jeffrodgers Oct 14, 2009 01:58 PM

WOW that sharp sunglow is off the WALL! I never really cared for the sharp strain of albino but that sunglow is VERY nice! The Paradimg is neat too.

cbmorphs Oct 14, 2009 07:57 PM

Awesome! Kidding, it is nice though. I'm glad someone finally seen those for what they're worth! I couldn't believe it took that long for someone to take notice of what those animals are capable of!

I'm also glad I got what you traded me for that pair... I'm sure they will be valuable assets to my projects!

I haven't forgot about getting you the pics of the Albino Squaretail. I've just been waiting for a decent day to take some outside pics of her! It's been unbelievably cold lately, which kind of sucks, because I think it's here to stay...

Your other animals look killer too, specially the Sharp and the Paradigm.

Wirlwindboaz Oct 14, 2009 04:51 PM

I've have to say the Scoria Boa is my favorite. It's such a unique looking boa. With all the new morphs/patterns showing up lately. The Scoria is still the most unique EVER!!! The others pale by comparison.

I'd have to say the female sunglow motley I produced in 2007 is my favorite boa. She is one of very few that I have seen that has held the motley pattern. This sunglow explodes with color. She starts out with a beautiful coral head and finishes with a crimsen red tail.
