how often to feed my pueblan "mutt"?

fliptop Oct 13, 2009 09:44 AM

Thanks for all the input on my possible-mutt pueblan.

I realize there's a lot of great info on these forums, but for the love of milk snakes, if you ever type in pueblan for a search, EVERY post by a person who's list of creatures kept includes "pueblan" comes up. Geez. Is there a better way?!

Until then, can someone give me a good feeding schedule for my snake? I do keep kings and rat snakes, and feed them weekly.

Also, any other helpful info (e.g., brumation necessary?) would be great.

As ever, thanks!

For one that size, I would feed it a chubby fuzzy or two, or an appropriate sized hopper once a week. That is plenty substancial to grow well and be perfectly healthy.

I agree wiht doug on the feeding. Oh and you dont have to hibernate, but it seems that about 25% of cambelli youngsters decide to do it anyways. so if it just decides to go off feed out of the blue soon, i would hibernate it for a month or two between 50-55 F.
