Last year i posted a few pics i snapped right from the shop, this year we went down right on the field and everything, and it was AWESOME!!! up from last year there where just over 700 balloons, this is the largest international balloon fiesta in the world and also it is the most photographed event in the world!! impressive stuff.

the first wave had just gotten off when we got there. they line up in rows of 10-12 and just have at it... when one row is up the next is ready to go, and we where right there in the middle of it... balloons lifting off all around us

here we are going in

here some are lining up

yeah balloons everywhere!!

and the ever popular special shapes, always fun

thirsty anyone??

we where on the wrong side of the bees but they always go up "holding hands" they are connected at the hands and once in the air the pilots can turn then and make them hug and also pull the cord to go their own separate ways

gatta love vador!!

here is a very popular one, there where all kinds of cheering when she got up

and they dont have to funky shaped to stand out either these are a few of my fav

NEMO!!!!

and here is a good sky shot try to count these Dave lol ill give you a hint more than 11 lol look really close

and one last one this is as clost to ON topic as i can get with these

Stephen,
...Thanks for posting all the great PICS. One of my friends has participated with his balloons the last few years. He did not go this year.

yeah if i remember correctly you where saying he has a gas balloon and came in 2nd place making it to Wisconsin? if thats right then tell him to be glad he didnt go because it was windy the day the gas balloons where scheduled and that whole day was called off, so they never flew.

Wow, I don't think I've seen more than 2 or 3 hot air balloons in my entire life. That looks like a fun time, thanks for posting the pics.

Thanks,
Ed
