what would you call this?

Ok heres my question. My hypo tang female mated with my hypo tang carrottail male and produced some awesome looking babies. Problem is....one has 2 stripes down the sides while some have one circle and another which i refuse to part with has no spots what so ever and would be what i've seen to be called a baldy hypo tang carrottail....ok.... the thing is...what would you call this stripe? I'm just telling people its a hypo tang carrottail cross or should it be... hypo tang x carrottail?? or hypo tang cross carrottail? or hyp tang cross hypo tang carrottail? I really dont think it matters and say look at the parents... look at the baby.. if you like it buy it if not no big deal. Why the hang up on the names I dont know.. but people keep asking what is it called.
What would you call it?

you know what? I needed that laugh. Its been a long day here lol
In this photo im posting here ... this is the first to hatch from the same set of parents.. Makes me wonder what the background is of these animals. Just goes to show you that you never know what your going to get either. The one im showing in this post is what i was expecting but surely not the stripe. That also was the only stipe that hatched....well so far anyway. I have 2 eggs left from last season to go. Should hatch any day now. I did also play with the temps like Ron Temper suggests on his site. I keep my eggs at 82 for at least the first 2 weeks then move them to a warmer incubator for the rest of the time. Most of the time they stay at the cooler temp for a month. But this is the results im getting from doing that.. getting some bright colors.
she keeps getting more and more red in her tail.. just gorgious!! she was hatched on 7/20/03

Right now I would call this one a super hypo, except that you say that it is an '03 hatchling, right? I would hope for SH but it looks like it may have a few spots coming in (or receding?) Give it a few more months and if the spots continue to fade you may even have a "baldy" on your hands there!

It does look sort of streaky. I would call it a reverse stripe, except that the tail is not striped. At the very least is looks like it will be a super hypo, but like I said on your other post, give it a few months to assure yourself that more spots don't start creeping in to spoil your expectations.

Both EXTREMELY nice geckos though.

I'll take your advice and hold onto them for awhile to see how they develope. I'm keeping a few that show exceptional color and soon will be selling off the adults that I no longer care to breed. I'm into the tangerines. Even breeding tangerine african fat tails and amelanistics that are deep tangerine.

it wouldn't be a reverse stripe, in a reverse stripe, the black would have been in the middle and the tang on the sides when the gecko hatched. i would call it a tang stripe.

Thanks, I don't go for stripes that much. I am always getting that backwards.
