Super Mystic - this better?

anthony james mc Oct 15, 2009 02:21 PM

Had alot of folks tease me about my horrible pics this past weekend! It's funny to see how many of you pay attention , I was shocked, lol!

This pic isn't to bad I don't think, compared to some others!

They both just shed for the 1st time recently.

The one next to the Super Mystic is a Mystic Fire, I am looking forward to seeing these as adults !

Thanks for noticing!

Since we are critiquing you, how about a Potion and Super shot side by side

how the mojave, mystic, lesser, butter, het Russo, phantom, and special all have such similar/same, yet different phenotypic outcomes.

The super mystic is awesome!

...and very nice photo

Thanks for sharing with us!

Thanks, I also have the Potion and Super Mystic pic taken BUT for some reason the photo gallery is running at a pace that simply has me frustrated (boiling is more like it). I just spent 20 minutes trying to get it to load A SINGLE PIC and it simply won't do jack for me.. Somebody please fix it , compress the files , delete stuff, whatever it takes! And no my computer isn't running slow either, works just fine everywhere else on this site and others............

I like posting stuff but when it won't load a simple pic within a realistic timeframe what good is it?

I'll try later to post that pic David, hold your horses for a bit for me while somebody works out the glitch!

Thanks Bill, I think the Mystic Fire is a bit of a sleeper project myself!

David here you go man, the Potions are alot like the Super Mystic , that dash of Mojave seems to brighten them up a little. The Super Mystic is still a bit more of a breeding weapon however I think.

Hope the pics are getting a little better, lol!

They both look nice Anthony, it will be interesting to see the variations that are produced down the line, from a sample of say 10 or more Potions and 10 or more Supers.

I held back a Mojave female JUST for my Mystic male this year, hoping to get a nice clutch in 2010 from Mystic x Sulfur Mojave and Mystic x Mojave Spider.

anthony james mc Oct 15, 2009 05:46 PM

I agree Dave!
Best of luck with those breedings man!

Thank you for this picture ! I was going to ask for it !

I like the potion better I think, but you are right, the super have more "breeder" potential.

You can create more Potion by breeding him to a mojave.

While the Potion will create potion and BEL.

Btw : Do you have plan on breeding with Lessers/Butters or phantom ?

That's better. You're at least in the same town now as the snakes you're photographing Looking good, and the super/potion combo shot below looks great too. I think it will help the people who couldn't see the difference between the two without seeing them together.

do your neighbors ever give you weird looks when you're carting all these odd colored snakes outside and photographing them on your lawn?

Thanks Oz and Matt , appreciate that !!!

Ya Jason, LOL, actually I have had a few folks take double takes as they are driving by. Seeing a guy with a snake the color of those in one hand and a camera in the other does make people look at you sorta funny at times!

I am pretty dissapointed that we have not seen any Super or Potion pics with them sitting on your world famous tree stump.

Dave

anthony james mc Oct 15, 2009 10:58 PM

I need to have Tom over at Habitat Systems make me a new one! Seriously this actual stump in my yard is looking pretty shabby. Guess I should have hit it with some thompson water sealer years ago but unfortunately I didn't even think about that until a year or so ago when the stump was starting to worry me that a snake may get stuck in one of those big cracks and I'd have to sit and wait all day for the darn thing to decide to come on back out, lol! Some of you actually could see that happening to me I know, not funny however! So I just stay away from that old stump now unless it's a big ol snake (to big to get stuck in it) I'm trying to snap a pic of..
