Just some quick things that strike me.
I can tell you which wild caught stock my snakes descended from but because I have no photographic proof or an official looking family tree I am not eligible for the list. Not that I am complaining, it is just the nature of the list, but that seems a little odd to me. I personally like the idea of the list it adds a little confidence to the origin of the snakes. It certainly takes a hard nosed approach but maybe that is what he locality community needs.
Further I hope from this point on when I purchase from people on the list that they include with the snakes I buy, without me asking for it, a family tree and photos of each generation dating back to the wild caught snakes. I have not had any family trees or photos sent to me at this point so I am automatically restricted from the list. It seems like the list can never grow if the people listed do not provide this information with their snakes.
Is it a royal PITA to post the family tree data and photos that are submitted for approval? And how do we know the original wild caught are authentic?
Despite the lists best efforts there will always be doubt as to whether the animals are locality or not. Especially when breeders have so many animals that get mixed together in their snake rooms.
