Scoria Boa?

MEIER21288 Oct 15, 2009 04:33 PM

Hello, my names Jon, normaly Im a retic guy, but I was bombing around the web a few days ago and looking at different boa morphs. I found a few pics of the Scoria boa....Very Nice!! So I did more looking to find info on genetics, and it seems like people either think its dom or double reccesive. My question is, has this riddle been solved and I just cant find it or is it still up in the air?

From all of the breedings I'm aware of to date, there is no way the scoria is a double recessive. The big question, I believe, is whether it is dominant or codominant. I believe a breeding of a scoria x normal was done with the outcome being half scorias and half normals. I'm not aware of any breeding of scoria x scoria to prove if there is a "super" form.

to prove if there is a "super" form.

Wonder what that would look like....I never expected a black boas from a mot to mot.....so I can't even imagine....

Same question here. Was the original female different-looking? Couldn't quite tell from your write-up on the website. Awesome trait, very attractive on a boa.
